playing with images of charleston

October 13, 2015

i have taken a few of the photographs i made at charleston last fall

and edited them in some artistic software

since experimentation and play is what i do, right?!

these are still in the early stages

as i’m not yet certain what i will use them for…

a calendar?  a postcard set?

perhaps even a small book on our journey.

whatever they turn out to be,

it’s fun to see what they look like when they are pared down

to basic colors and shapes.

it’s also a little side trip in entering the world of charleston

once again, this time through abstraction.

i’ve also discovered that, given time,

many of the projects that i work on continue to change

until they become a final product.

not a process for the impatient,

that is certain.

if you enjoyed charleston,

you’ll probably want to come along with me

to virginia woolf’s monk’s house.

coming soon…

Your images are beautiful! I love what you’re doing, how you’re exploring the light and shape of things. They look like watercolor paintings….this would make a wonderful calendar or book! And yes, count me in on the trip to Monk’s House!
