a bit of beauty

August 6, 2014

good morning, friends!

do you often find yourself arrested by beauty–

literally stopped in your tracks and spellbound

by something seemingly ordinary

that suddenly you now see in a new way?

a blossom,

a seashell or a piece of kelp on a beach,

the mood created by the weather

magical creatures that seem impossible–

but are real!

colors that dazzle

the play of light

the intricacies of a world not created by our own doing?

are you interested in a forum through which we can explore our perceptions of beauty together

and manifest it in our daily lives?

if so, i have something for you:

come visit me at aesthetica:  living a life immersed in beauty.

you can find it here:

and don’t worry–  you’ll still find the tongue-in-cheek ramblings

of day-to-day life in our little corner of the world right here.

hope you find beauty in your day today!

THANK YOU!! obviously I’ve been on the fence about the necessity of having two blogs, but I hope that the content will be more clearly defined and that perhaps aesthetica can become an interactive site weaving new connections, whatever that may be! I appreciate your support! xoxo

wonderful! i’d love to make it an interactive little community where people are free to share how they act on their love of the beauty of nature– drawing, painting, crafting, decorating… whatever it is that is inspired by natural beauty. ideas will be most welcome!

I am spellbound by all of your images!
What a delight for my eyes. Love the kelp on the sand, the peeking eye through mane. And your drawings in that journal, all Moroccan or India looking.
Wonderful to see your energy and vibrancy through this post, Janet!

thank you, Lynn! I hope you’ll join our little group over on aesthetica and provide some of your input on the beauty you find around you in everyday life, especially how you translate that into the wonderful things you do! we live in a world of incredible possibility! xx
