…oh, and a rooster.

August 7, 2012

this is oreo.

this is oreo with his harem.

gorgeous, right?

there was a little problem.

this comely trio was supposed to relocate with audrey and mike to their new digs.

oreo, however, has discovered that roosters can crow.

he enjoys practicing.

and since their new home is in a neighborhood,

chances are that oreo might not exactly be welcomed with open arms.

so, while the harem can still go,

oreo (ahem) can not.

yup, you know what’s coming.

apparently audrey knows how given we are to collecting critters with feathered legs.

this may have given her an unfair advantage.

so, in addition to our six horses,

four dogs,

five cats,

two donkeys,

and the five laying hens that we had already agreed to keep,

we also have a rooster that wears feathered bloomers.

what next?

oops…  did i really just ask that?

They would like you to come back and visit…

i have to say that when we are out there i have a feeling of peace and contentment. there is something very special about the love that has permeated that home and the very ground it stands on, and it envelops every living creature whether human or animal. we are so blessed to have found this home, and i look forward to many years of carrying that love forward!
