just another day at the funny farm

February 26, 2012

today is tireachan’s fourth birthday.

we wanted to make the day extra special for him.

after a brief stop for “supplies”, we headed to the barn.

unfortunately, we arrived at about the same time as a hurly, burly wind.

we were forced to abbreviate our festivities,

but wanted to share the highlights.

here is our birthday boy, closing his eyes to make a wish:

this is tir after he opened his eyes and realized that the wind was still blowing:

sorry, little buddy!

at least we’re all here to celebrate with you!

big brother sunny:

little brother caoinlean:

and little sister si gaoithe:

we all love you!

happy birthday, tir!

now let’s all have apple treats!!

      they did, in fact!
and consider this an invitation to come out and meet the fuzzy herd.
      they say bring carrots!
      please.

    Hi Tireachan,

Happy Birthday from the rest of your herd at Parnell’s Irish Cobs! Your mom Laoise and your surrogate mom Millie both send special Birthday Greetings.

Thanks for sending the pix, Janet. If Tir was wishing for “no wind”, please tell him to keep on wishing, cause it’s been howling at the Irish Rose for the last 10 days. Today was the first time in a week that I could get Lee out to drive him (we/re practicing for the parade!)

    Best regards,
    Charlie

yes, tir was indeed wishing for “no wind”. he has figured out that we spend much more time there when we are not accompanied by howling winds!
looking forward to seeing you at the parade!
