i’m app, app, appy!!

November 20, 2011

good morning.

by now i’m sure it’s no surprise that i am easily amused.

i have chosen to embrace that rather childlike quality about myself.

what other option do i have?

i believe that i have mentioned in the past how fond i am of my iPhone.

very.

so, yesterday sassysister3 and i upgraded our phones.

i discovered that it IS possible to love it even more.

stupidly and completely, in fact.

the photo apps are delightful.

this is a random sampling of things that currently have me amused:

somehow a sprinkler got left on at the golf course this week.

that night the temperature dropped to 16 degrees.

it made for a real good show.

winterness.

it does have a beauty all its own.

i also decided to rework some earlier photos,

mostly because i love the content.

like the calves down the lane from the barn where we keep the horses.

the sun sizzling through one of fall’s final blossoms.

and the dramatic austerity of colorado’s eastern plains upon our return from the coast of california.

these things all  make my heart skip a beat

(which is probably why i don’t get more done around here…)

i’m taking three online courses right now,

including one on the art of self-portraiture to tell one’s stories.

one embarrassing story of mine is that i don’t really know now to work my DSLR past the auto setting,

but i get around that by wielding my mighty iPhone.

i’m embracing that, too.

apparently another story is that i am a goof ball.

i am OK with that.

no, not one of my horses.

i find it difficult to get them to hold a pose while i fumble around with a camera.

our assignment for this week was to create an album cover for the soundtrack of our life right now.

therefore:

whoa!  the album:

songs for slowing down to the speed of life.

featuring a remake of the fifty-ninth street bridge song–

Slow down, you movin’ too fast
You gotta make the MORNING last
Just kickin’ down the cobblestones
Lookin’ for fun and
Feelin’ groovy…

whoa, indeed.

xoxo

hi, jillian! thanks for dropping by. the icicles were so thick and long that they lasted throughout a very sunny day. when they fell from the tree they sounded like glass.
